analog inputs

pseudo continuous objects with translational delay

Grab and drag the largest tile in each propagating set. The effects of interaction transfer to the connected tiles with some small amount of delay. Over time, this delay imposes a kind of continuous damping effect, measurable by the movement of tiles within each set.

figure A. an unusually long tile chain shows how the user's input is much like a wave carrying force information
Controls such as these provide an easy way to sample user interaction under a natural limiting system. For varying degrees of dampening and responsiveness, the system could sample input anywhere along the connected tile control.
