This one hour presentation will demonstrate techniques
used in the creation of creature-like objects in Flash MX. Various
methods of instantiation, graphic mutation, and simple locomotion
will be discussed. The session is divided between the abstract possibilities
of such systems and the code that defines them. Question and answer
session will follow.
"Even
matter called inorganic, believed to be dead, responds to
irritants and gives unmistakable evidence of a living principle
within. Everything that exists, organic or inorganic, animated
or inert, is susceptible to stimulus from the outside."
- Nikola Tesla
